Orchestra

We have a thriving school orchestra which plays in assemblies every week. The orchestra demonstrates the diverse musical skills of our pupils and includes keyboards, flutes, violins, piano, drums and clarinets amongst other instruments. They practice every Wednesday lunchtime at 1.00-1.30 pm. They also put on musical concerts to raise money for the school.

Gardening Club

Our gardening club is award winning - having secured a 'Best school horticultural project' gold medal for Northumbria in Bloom in 2008, 2007, 2006 and 2004. Our garden is evidence of all the hard work that these dedicated pupils have put in over the years - over the summer term they garden once a week at lunchtimes. We have organic vegetables as well as beautiful flowers.

Last year they successfully bid for a grant from Alnwick Lions to refurbish our greenhouse. Hopefully this will be finished soon.

The gardening club is always looking for new ways to improve the school grounds, with this in mind Lindisfarne has signed up to Morrisons 'Let's Grow' scheme. For every £10 spent at Morrisons a voucher is earned. Lindisfarne can use these voucher to purchase seeds, plants and equipment for the school gardens. If you would like to send in any vouchers that you have, we would be very pleased to receive them.
